The North West's recruitment desk for permanent hires.
Mon-Fri 8am-8pm North West coverage

Why we exist

Hiring across the North West is harder than it should be. Job boards have ballooned with noise, agencies pass briefs around between consultants who do not know each other's pipelines, and shortlists arrive a fortnight late with three CVs that don't match the spec.

Recruitment North West was set up to undo all of that. We are a regional desk for the North West of England, working with employers from Manchester to Carlisle, with one belief at the centre of the desk: a hire only works if both sides feel cared for. That means the employer gets a brief taken seriously, a shortlist delivered on time, and a consultant who knows their candidates personally. And it means the candidate gets the truth about the role, not a sales pitch.

What we do, plainly

We place permanent staff for North West employers. Our desk is built around hires that stay, the brief, the vetting, the offer support, the day-7 / day-30 / day-90 follow-ups, every step geared toward six-month outcomes.

Sectors we work in regularly:

  • Manufacturing, engineering and skilled trades
  • Logistics, warehousing and distribution
  • Construction site management and quantity surveying
  • Office support, administration and customer service
  • Sales, business development and account management
  • Finance, accounting and payroll
  • IT support, systems administration and software
  • Hospitality and catering management
  • Retail and contact-centre supervision
  • HR and people operations

Where we work

The North West of England means five counties for us: Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Lancashire, Cheshire and Cumbria. We have active client and candidate networks in each, with deeper concentrations around the major employment hubs of Manchester, Liverpool, Preston, Warrington, Chester and Lancaster, and steady work across smaller market towns from Blackburn to Carlisle.

For NW-headquartered businesses hiring elsewhere in the UK, we will support nationwide briefs case by case, but our core promise is regional knowledge applied to regional hires.

Who we work for

Our clients are North West employers, mostly small to mid-market, with hiring managers who want to spend less time on recruitment and more time on running their company. We work with manufacturers along the M6 corridor, distribution centres around Liverpool and Trafford, professional services firms in Manchester city centre, family-run businesses across Lancashire and Cheshire, and national employers with NW offices that need a regionally connected agency.

If your business is hiring permanently in the North West and the brief feels too important to leave to chance, we are a good fit.

How we think about a placement

A successful placement is not a CV submission. It is the moment six months later when the new hire is still in post, still adding value, and still happy. That is the only outcome that matters to us, and the only one we measure against. Everything else, the speed of the shortlist, the quality of the brief, the candidate vetting, the offer support, exists to give that six-month outcome the best possible chance.

Our values, the short version

  • Do the brief properly. A 30-45 minute call up front saves a fortnight on the back end.
  • Tell the truth. If the salary is below market, we will say so. If the candidate is not right, we will not pretend they are.
  • One throat to choke. One consultant per client, end to end. Holiday cover is briefed properly so nothing slips.
  • Stand behind the work. Free replacement period on every placement. No small print.
  • Regional, not generic. Active networks in every North West county. We know the patch and the people on it.
